History

BlueBay Asset Management LLP was founded in 2001. The company was initially established to capitalise on strong growth trends in the European corporate and global emerging debt markets.

In 2006, BlueBay was admitted to the official list of the UK Listing Authority and began trading on the London Stock Exchange. BlueBay was acquired by Royal Bank of Canada in December 2010.

Today BlueBay is one of Europe’s largest specialist managers of fixed income credit and alternative products. Assets under management total US$40.6 billion as at 31 March 2012.
